As the year draws to a close, we can all reflect on the important elements in our lives with gratitude and hope. This time will give some well-deserved downtime as we all look forward to the New Year. The Festive Season, with its pleasantly warm weather and merry cheer, is a wonderful time to make priceless memories with your

loved ones, that will forever be imbedded in your hearts and minds. We are so excited to welcome familiar, as well as new faces for a great time at Monateng. Before we go off to get the holiday season underway, allow us to let you in on all of the latest from your favourite home-away-from-home.

While Monateng Safari Lodge may not have had many opportunities to provide our valued Shareholders with exciting on-site games and activities, the Shareholder communications kept the Lodge spirit alive with fun-filled competitions.

Unfortunately the grand prize - a Full Week Bonus Booking - could not be allocated due to lack of entries.

Thank you for staying up-to-date with your home-away-from-home, throughout this tough season. We hope to see more of our Shareholders getting involved in future competitions!

Good News Upon our Horizon

We are pleased to remind you that Monateng Safari Lodge retained Gold Crown status at the prestigious RCI OSCAS Awards held in March 2020. Gold Crown status is the highest grading a Resort can attain; and to maintain this grading is such a wonderful accomplishment.

Resort refurbishments and upgrades

We are excited to share the facilities' upgrades and refurbishments we have made at your home-away-from-home during the course of the year:

New carports have been erected for guest parking.

New water pipes have been installed.

Maintenance and repairs have been completed on the main Resort swimming pool.

The balustrades on the main deck have been resprayed.

Fire breaks have been created along the perimeter fencing.

The ponds at the Reception Entrance have been sealed to prevent any leakages.

We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to the out-going Resort Manager, Wolf Küsel, for his hard-work and dedication to Monateng during his tenure.

He has been such an integral part of steering this ship and making our Resort the gleaming holiday destination it is today. We appreciate the dedication you have shown the Resort Team and VRS. Your presence and leadership will be sorely missed.

AFRICAN BLESSINGS
As our Jochebed Children’s Village continues to grow, so do our laundry loads! We are raising funds to purchase an industrial washing machine that will go a long way in helping us manage the big task of keeping the Village’s linen and little King’s clothes clean and fresh, while reducing the cost and the time spent on managing the loads of laundry.
