“Welcome to Little Eden” are the first words we speak to each guest who crosses the threshold of our Resort entrance. These words carry them through the check-in process until the moment they enter their home-away-from-home unit, sigh a sound of relief and sit comfortably on their bed. While their holidays unfold beneath a brightly shining sun, and surrounded by the beauty of nature, the Little Eden Team works behind the scenes to ensure the best

possible environment is provided for them. Every touch point, every kind word and every activity is only made as wonderful by our Team’s hard work and dedication to quality experiences for you, our valued Shareholders and guests. While we work towards wrapping up the year 2022, we thought to first pause a while and take a look at a few of our favourite memories from the past six months, at your “Little” gem.

Little Eden is loved and adored by many, and it’s easy to see why. With gleaming facilities, a natural setting and nearby attractions, this gem is the perfect escape for families of every shape and size to relax and rejuvenate whilst on holiday in this space. Be sure to add some of our favourite activities to your holiday agenda when next visiting us!

Meet & Greet
Every Tuesday the Little Eden Team prepares a selection of treats, such as buttery scones, and serves soothing tea and freshly-brewed coffee to guests at the Entertainment Area. This is a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle with other Shareholders and guests on the Resort, hear their holiday stories and exchange details on adventures you and your family may wish to enjoy in the area. Don’t miss out!

Waterfall Hikes
Ntando Skosana, an integral member of the “Little” family, hosts hikes to the onsite waterfall every Wednesday and Sunday at 09:00. This complimentary activity starts at the Entertainment Area and winds through the natural setting for approximately 800m, until the vista opens up to show off the waterfall. Guests are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes, sunblock and a sun hat.

Programmes
Week in and week out, as our guests check-in and check-out of their holiday gem, the Little Eden Entertainment Team hosts an ever-changing holiday programme. Activities change weekly and feature all-sorts, from bingo to musical chairs, in our family-friendly setting. Young, and young-at-heart, are invited to find out more at Reception on arrival for the activities our Team has planned for their week.

Bubbles And Bubbly

Some holidays deserve a blissful moment soaking in a tub of foamy bubbles by candlelight, either reading a book or enjoying a glass of bubbly. To relish in soapy water and completely submerge yourself in relaxation, guests need a beautiful space. It is for this reason that the Little Eden Maintenance Team have embarked on retiling the wood cabin chalets’ bathrooms.

Monkeying Around

There’s something utterly satisfying about being on holiday and enjoying all the delicious eats without any of the guilt! From tasty sharing baskets to cheesy pizza cones, thick, sweet milkshakes and waffles served with drizzles of syrup and vanilla ice-cream; the best time for snacking is while on holiday, and no one knows this better than Monkey Chum Kiosk. Not only can guests enjoy the all-new, tantalising menu at Monkey Chum, but the Team will happily deliver all your favourites right to your chalet door! Find out more, here.

Get To Know Your Management Team

Hancke & Anneke Hechter have been the dedicated Team steering the Little Eden ship for some time now, and you have undoubtedly stopped to have a chat with them once or twice during your Resort visits. Recently, we interviewed the dynamic duo to find out more about their success in the hospitality industry, what they personally love about this “Little” gem, and what it takes to manage your home-away-from-home with determination and a caring hand. COMING SOON!

We adore the natural surroundings at Little Eden and love spending time outside, soaking up the sunsets, spotting wildlife and relishing in all its splendour - and we know you share this favourite pastime of ours, too! That is why we've decided to make your home-away-from-home patio as comfortable and inviting as possible, by uplifting and replacing the existing patio furniture with new chairs and tables! The order has been placed and we're excitedly awaiting the new furnitures' arrival, so keep an eye out on your next Little Eden visit!

Our motto is “creating the environment for everlasting holiday memories”, and doing that means providing moments of surprise and appreciation that will surely leave our guests beaming with joy. From celebrating public holidays to adding special touches in the chalets when guests reach certain milestones – it’s all in a day’s work at Little Eden.

Father’s Day

Dads are special. They teach us how to: tie our shoelaces, ride our first bicycle, and offer advice throughout our lives. It is for this very reason that we adore celebrating them on Father’s Day each year. In 2022, we decorated Reception with colourful lanterns and gifted each dad a handmade braai utensil board. This present is ideal to hang outside next to a braai, so dad always has his braai tongs at-the-ready!

Women’s Day

May the daughters in our lives grow up to be as strong, resilient and powerful as the women that came before them! Celebrating the ladies in our lives on Women’s Day is always a treat. Every guest was greeted at check-in with smiles and refreshments, while our female guests received jars filled with hand-crafted chocolates for their enjoyment.

Heritage Day

We’re grateful to be blessed with such an incredibly diverse, interesting country of heritage and culture. It makes our hearts swell with appreciation for our historically rich neighbourhood whenever this day rolls round, so it’s no surprise that we celebrate it with our guests. Our Team hosted a delicious bake sale, featuring malva pudding, milk tart, custard and rusks, so guests could enjoy delicious treats after their braais. Each chalet was also surprised with an African-shaped clock as a small token of our appreciation.

School Holidays

School holidays are a magical time in our childhoods that offer a break from studies and an escape to a wonderful Resort, like Little Eden. Just as the holiday seasons are magical, so too are certain delicious treats, like pancakes! It’s for this reason that Little Eden hosted a pancake-baking competition between two teams; Team Lyndill and Team Eden. Each team had to bake the best possible pancakes which were then put to a vote amongst our guests. Team Lyndill won with their flipping-fantastic skills and received a Monkey Chum Kiosk voucher for their efforts.

It warms our hearts to know that Little Eden continues to be the ideal location for our guests to relax in pure tranquillity. We are grateful for the feedback and compliments that our guests share with us. Here are some thoughtful words we’ve recently received:
