Woman’s Day

The Reception Area was decked out in floral splendour this Women’s Day. All the beautiful and precious women visiting the Resort were welcomed with colourful and sweet sunrise mocktails, garnished with a slice of pineapple to add some pizzazz. In the Chalets, our special guests arrived to a wonderful surprise in the main bedrooms; towel origami flowers with a centre that read “Happy Women’s Day", as well as a cute little gift containing special teabags and a stunningly fragranced lotion and body oil.

Spring Day

There is nothing lovelier than springtime. It is a time during which plants begin to grow again and hibernating animals awake – a time of new life and fresh beginnings. To celebrate this magnificent time, our Reception was a Spring explosion of decorative flowers and butterflies. Our guests were treated to a delicious sunrise mocktail and gifted a small succulent with a Spring Day card.

Heritage Day

We had yet another Proudly South African Heritage Day this year at Sandy Place. The Reception was bedecked with some of our favourite proudly South African snacks; droewors, vetkoeke smeared with sweet apricot jam, and cupcakes decorated with stamps of unique South African products for guests to enjoy.

To make the day even more special for our guests, we gifted them with mugs that had Heritage Day stickers on them, containing some dröewors, a packet of mini marshmallows on a wooden stick to be braaied, and a Jagermeister shot. The guests absolutely loved their gifts!
