RESORT UPGRADES EVENTS SUDWALA BUCKET LIST TEAM FOCUS NOTICES

The dawn of 2022 came with the sun crowning its warm golden light over the Mankelekele Mountain, bidding the stars their rest as if saying "it is time for a new beginning and renewed hope.” From that moment on, the good times never ceased to roll. The Sudwala Team made sure that all of our valued Shareholders and guests had the ‘Sudwala Experience’ that exceeded all expectations and we feel so grateful,

thinking of all the wonderful memories that were created during the course of the year.

The excitement of the holiday season has officially crept in but before you go off to enjoy all the festivities with your nearest and dearest, take a moment to read all about the latest and greatest happenings at your home-away-from-home.

Our Team is constantly aiming to make Sudwala better than when you left it. We are excited to share the upgrades and refurbishments we have made at our Resort during the past six months with you:

New water feature at the mini-golf course

Tennis court has been resurfaced

New carpets have been installed on the mini-golf course

Swimming pool has been re-marbled

Fountain inside the mini-golf course has been fixed

New picnic spots for guests to enjoy have been created

Grotto's Treats and Takeaway has stocked up on new items as per guest feedback and a new menu has been introduced

Upcoming Projects

Mini digital safes to be installed in all units

Braai grids and ashtrays to be replaced with new ones

Woman’s Day

To show appreciation and celebrate all the amazing women visiting us on Women’s Day, Sudwala put out beautifully decorated table displays with plenty of baked and sweet delights for our guests to indulge in. Our Team also gifted the ladies with confectionary goodies in honour of the “sweet” affair.

Heritage Day

On Heritage Day, the Sudwala Team adorned traditional attire and entertained our guests with traditional song and dance. While all our guests adored the entertainment, the celebrations would be incomplete without a braai! Guests were treated to a delicious lamb on a spit and enjoyed the evening's festivities with gusto.

Pensioners Tea
Every Thursday from 11:00 until 12:00 our Team treats all the seniors visiting us to some delicious tea and scones as they mix and mingle with some lovely conversation.

Slingshot
This exciting and deceivingly difficult activity is available for all to enjoy; young and old (those who have a cheeky child left in them anyway!). Collect a slingshot from the Games Room and see how much contact you can make with your target.

Fishing
If you would like to enjoy some quality downtime with your friends and loved ones, head on over to the dam for some fishing and see if you can make a lucky catch. Strictly catch and release.

From milestone birthdays to anniversaries and honeymoons, our dedicated Team is always happy to help you plan and celebrate all your big moments and special occasions. Be sure to chat to them and watch as your vision comes to life!

Thandi Mawelele is a vibrant young lady who has been interning at Sudwala Lodge for the past year. Thandi excelled in her line of work and training, and so we made her a permanent part of the Sudwala family! Thandi has officially been appointed as chef. We are elated to have her as part of our Team and wish her all the success in her new role at Gotto's Treats and Takeaways.

Managing a Royal Hospitality Services (RHS) Resort is a great feat and Sudwala Lodge’s Resort Manager, Johan Jacobs, does it with so much grace and dedication. In the short time that he has been with us, he has worked tirelessly to raise the essence of Sudwala to higher standards. With this in mind, we asked him to spare a moment so that you can all get to know the man behind all of your unforgettable moments at our Resort!
