A new chapter awaits, just over the horizon! We can’t believe that the year 2023 is almost over. In this moment, we find ourselves reflecting on the memories we created, adventures we embarked on, and the moments of serenity savoured at your home-away-from-home.

The past year has been a journey filled with laughter, relaxation, and new friendships, and now, as we prepare to bid farewell to 2023, we can't help but look back and celebrate the moments that unfolded within these walls. Join us as we share all the latest Resort happenings since the last newsletter.

The Sandy Place Team is unwavering in their commitment to creating an unforgettable holiday experience for our Shareholders and guests. A crucial aspect of this dedication is guaranteeing that your home-away-from-home is
well-maintained, ready to welcome you for your next visit! Below are the new additions and improvements the Team has put into effect.

Old pillows were converted into mattresses for the kids in the games room.

New bed linen has been purchased for all the units.

Units in blocks A, B, C and D received new wall-mounted bedside lamps.

A fluff box was built to collect fluff from the laundry.

The water drainage system in front of the units in Block D has been installed.

A generator now powers up the borehole pump during loadshedding.

Solar Lights have been installed around the Resort.

Old scatter cushions were replaced and new bed throws were added in most units.

Help us extend a very big welcome to Esmé and Martin Britz who have joined our Sandy Place family.

Esmé, with 39 years of experience has taken on the position of Resort Manager. With her extensive knowledge in Office Management, Admin HOD, Housekeeping HOD and Club House Management, we are confident that she will bring immense value to the Resort.

Martin, with 20 years in Electrical experience and 10 years of Estate Maintenance expertise, has taken on the position of Maintenance HOD. We have no doubts that his expertise will significantly improve our maintenance operations and ensure that your home-away-from-home remains in tip-top shape.

We are excited to have them both on board and wish them the best of luck!

Every moment spent in and around Sandy Place is an absolute delight, filled with joyful celebrations and cherished memories.

Father's Day

Father's Day is the time to honour the special men in our lives, and at Sandy Place, we went all out to make it an awesome celebration. When our dads checked in, they got a cold 'Super Dad' Coke and a delicious 'boerie roll.' Plus, we added a fun touch to our main bedrooms with a 'Mr. Moustache' knife sharpener as a gift.

Woman’s Day

At Sandy Place, we made sure to create a memorable and special Woman’s Day for the important women in our lives. At check-in, we treated our beautiful guests to a lunch filled with a variety of juices and tasty finger foods. And to make the day just a little bit more memorable, we decked out all the main bedrooms with pink rose petals and gifted each unit with a nail set for our lovely ladies.

Heritage Day Weekend

At Sandy Place we take immense pleasure in embracing the cultural richness and diversity of our beloved country. Upon check-in, our guests received a warm and inviting welcome complete with delightful snacks and delectable chocolate cupcakes decorated with South African flags. Plus, our Housekeeping staff looked amazing in their traditional outfits, making the day even more special!

St. Lucia Da Car

St. Lucia hosted its very first Da Car Go-Kart event, and folk came from far and wide to join in on the action. The main road was shut down, giving the racers a chance to strut their carts in front of the crowd. The finish line was right at our Resorts’ entrance and so, all of our guests had a blast watching these tiny carts go head to head.

St. Lucia is known for its stunning coastal and wetland beauty. This enchanting town sparkles with a tapestry of natural wonders and adventures. For those with a passion for the great outdoors, St. Lucia offers many opportunities for exploration. Here are some ideas to add to your next Sandy Place stay Bucket List:

iSimanagaliso Sunset Safari
Get ready to join the fun on a thrilling three-hour adventure through the diverse ecosystems of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Electric Big-Wheel Scooter Tour

home-away-from-home unit. An inventory list is available in your unit; any discrepancies must please be reported at Reception.

Please note that the RHS Head office will be closed from Friday, 22 December 2023, and will reopen for business on Thursday, 04 January 2024.
