The year 2023 brought us an abundance of joy, cherished moments, and awe-inspiring bushveld sunsets, all of which were enriched to this degree, because we were able to share each one with our wonderful shareholders and valued guests. With that being said, we'd like to take a moment to express our gratitude for the memories we've created and the connections we've built with you during the course of this past year. Manzi Monaté moments to us, and for standing shoulder to shoulder with us in taking care of our beloved Manzi Monaté to ensure ongoing treasured holiday memories. In disbelief that the year is almost behind us, we find ourselves pausing for a moment in the shade of one of our magnificent trees, and... reflecting on the incredible moments we’ve shared together. Come along with us as we delve into the highlights of the past six months at Manzi Monaté.

Ensuring that your holiday haven remains the place you adore and eagerly anticipate coming back to is our prime mission, and we’ve been putting in the work:

Our onsite convenience shop has been restocked with all sorts of wonderful goodies! Be sure to browse the great selection of treats, gifts and interesting knick-knacks when you pop-in for those essential grocery items.

Our playground jungle gym has been given a makeover to ensure that it is both safe and sound, and bright and inviting for our little guests to enjoy.

The bathroom tiles have been replaced in unit 23, and the bedrooms are sporting brand new bedside lamps.

The Manzi Team invests in ensuring that our guests have every opportunity to create enjoyable and everlasting memories during their stay at our beautiful Resort. Here are some of the special occasions and events that we celebrated in 2023:

Father’s Day

The dads were celebrated in style this Father's Day! Each guest received a gift of cosy socks to keep their feet warm and comfortable. In celebration of the occasion, the Reception area came alive with vibrant green and blue tie-shaped decorations.

Heritage Day

Heritage Day is all about bringing diverse groups of people together, and at Manzi Monaté we did just that. We had a Heritage Day party at the Kiosk and invited all our wonderful Resort guests to enjoy the flavours and dishes from our childhood. A special thanks to Anna and Emily for ensuring that everyone enjoyed their time with us.

Bring & Braai

Our Bring & Braai's are always something to look forward to. It’s an opportunity for our lovely guests to get to know each other and create unforgettable memories together. Our helpful staff is always ready to lend a hand with the braai as they serve up some delicious pap and sauce. It’s truly all about the good times and great food here at Manzi Monaté!

2023 Rugby World Cup

The Manzi Team went all out to cheer on the Bokke during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. We adorned Reception with some fun bunting flags and decked it out with green and yellow balloons for some extra flair. Plus, at check-in, we served tasty cupcakes decorated with the colours of the South African flag.

Entertainment

We’ve had a great time with our guests over the past few months. The kids have had a blast participating in activities like hula hoop and sack races. These planned and hosted entertainment activities certainly elevate the fun factor to a whole new level, and turn school holidays into magical adventures for our younger guests, and the whole family.

Arts & Crafts

We’re all about having a good time at Manzi Monaté. Come on over for some arts & crafts that will keep everyone, from the young to the young at heart, entertained during their stay at our Resort.

Animal Farm

The farm is open to all guests, and guess what? We have some treats that you can use to feed our furry and feathered friends. Come and meet our donkeys, mallard ducks, tortoises, and rabbits – they’re all up for some good ol’ interaction!

Pool Fun

Say goodbye to the sizzling
summer swelter! Give yourself a
well-deserved pause and dive into our refreshing free-form pool. Treat yourself to the gift of relaxation and unwind from everyday stress.

our new Resort Manager

Hennie's journey at Manzi Monaté started with an administrative position earlier in 2023, and as of 1 November 2023, Hennie has assumed the role as Resort Manager. Make sure to say Hi on your next visit.

Sammy Marks Museum (20 km)

Zwartkoppies Hall, is the old Victorian mansion which used to be the home of Sammy Marks, the businessman and entrepreneur, along with his family from 1885 to 1909. The mansion has been transformed into an exhilarating museum open to the public. To explore its wonders, you can join one of the fantastic tours departing every hour, where the intriguing story of the Marks family awaits.

Pretoria National Botanical Gardens (30 km)

Pretoria National Botanical Gardens is one of the nine National Botanical Gardens in South Africa. It’s a great place for kids to run around and play on the grass. And if you’re in the mood for a romantic picnic with your loved one, it’s also a fantastic spot to bring a picnic basket and enjoy some quality time together. Plus, they’ve got a café on-site, creating an ideal location to spend a leisurely afternoon.
