Pest control services have been carried out throughout the premises in accordance to our planned schedule. |

The bakkie’s exhaust and tie rod ends have been repaired. |

NEW GENERATOR
A new generator has been purchased to ensure running water in the units during loadshedding. |

BACKUP BATTERY SYSTEM
The beams’ backup battery system has been replaced to ensure that the battery lasts longer during long loadshedding. |

STORM WATER WALL
A storm water wall has been built next to the games room and laundry area to ensure no water seeps through during storms. |

REPAIR ROOF LEAKS
All roof leaks at A and D Blocks were repaired. |

ALUMINIUM WINDOWS
Worn Block A roof louvre windows were replaced with aluminium windows. |

EXCESS WATER DRAIN GRID
An exterior water drain grid was installed at Block D, to deal with water during excessive rainfall. |

Team Training Session |
Our staff underwent a training session that focused on the proper use and handling of safety glasses and gloves, with the goal of enhancing workplace safety and reducing the likelihood of injury or harm.

Christmas Day |
Our Team added a touch of Christmas magic to the Resort with many festive decorations. The little ones visiting Sandy Place definitely secured their spot on Santa's nice list. As they checked in with their families, they were given cookies to place under the Christmas tree for Santa to enjoy when he arrived to deliver presents. In the units, we folded towels into little snowmen and placed them on the bed with sweet treats and a gift that consisted of pancake mix, jam, and biscuits that our guests could enjoy on Christmas morning.

New Year's Day |
Guests were treated to some delicious bubbly, gold sparklers to enhance the festive mood, and an assortment of sweet treats. Additionally, popcorn packets were thoughtfully placed in the Reception area to provide guests with a fun snack to nibble on while they checked in, while small packets of chips were made available for everyone to enjoy.

Valentine's Day |
Tender loving care was the order of the day this Valentine’s Day, evident in the thoughtful details that adorned every corner of the Resort. The Reception area and gardens were beautifully decorated to make our guests feel the love that was in the air. A “love tree” filled with lollipops as ornaments was also displayed at the Reception. As our wonderful guests were checking in, we offered them some delicious biltong and droewors snack packs to enjoy.
Our Team also made 44 heart-shaped origami towels and placed them in our guests’ bedrooms, along with popcorn boxes with the message "I hope you have a popping Valentine's Day" accompanied by mugs filled to the brim with an assortment of sweet treats. |

Easter |
|
The Easter bunnies sure left their mark on the Resort this year! Small bunny nests were found all throughout the Reception area and bunny tail packs were made available to all our guests. We also treated them to some delicious sweet and salty snack tubs to enjoy as they were checking in.
Our talented Team also folded 44 origami towel bunnies and placed them in each unit with Easter eggs tucked inside for an added surprise. They also packed brown paper bags filled with Easter eggs perfectly nestled in cotton bunny nests.

Mother's Day |
We hold a special place in our hearts for mothers, and on Mother's Day, we wanted to ensure they were showered with lots of love and pampering. During check-in, we welcomed our lovely guests with some delicious juice, muffins, and little packets of cabanossi sourced from our local butcher. As an additional surprise for all the moms, we folded towels into beautiful roses and arranged them on the beds, accompanied by a lovely beauty nail set.

June marks the start of whale watching season in St Lucia and many different species of whales can be witnessed from the beginning of the month until the end of November. As the winter months unfold, the shores of St Lucia are graced with these majestic creatures as they migrate toward to tropical and subtropical waters of Madagascar and Mozambique. While many different species of whales can be seen in the ocean during this migration, the humpback whale is the most common to see which is all no let down as they are a favourite among whale watchers because of their playful antics. |
Next time you visit Sandy Place, do not miss the opportunity to bear witness of this natural wonder! Formal boat tours and whale-watching expeditions are an absolute must for first-time watchers.
