RESORT NEWSLETTER JULY 2024

The past few months have truly embodied the spirit of what Monateng Safari Lodge stands for – "A Place of Joy." We’ve shared laughter, danced, and sung together. And as we lounge on the deck, embracing the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, we celebrate the camaraderie we've built and eagerly anticipate the adventures yet to unfold. We're committed to ensuring that you, our valued Shareholders,

soak in every facet of the African bushveld, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of your home-away-from-home. As we transition into the cooler months, we find ourselves reminiscing about the sun-drenched days that made every moment at Monateng unforgettable. So, as we embrace all the wonders that winter brings, allow us to delve into the first half of 2024 with you.

Updates, Upgrades &

The Monateng Team continues its commitment to delivering the ultimate vacation experience for our valued

Shareholders. Here are some of the refurbs we’ve done in the past 6 months:

Roofs

The Resort entrance and Reception roofs have been refurbished.

Pump House

The outdated corrugated iron on top of the old wooden pump house has been replaced with recycled plastic materials.

Fly Screens

We have installed fly screens on the windows and sliding door of Units RB11, RB13 and NY05 to assist with fly prevention.

Braai Ash Pans

The Maintenance Team built

30 new Braai ash pans for

the units.

Air Curtains

An air-curtain has been installed in RB11 and RB13 to assist with fly prevention.

Vinyl Floor

The carpet floors in units

RB01, JA02 and NY04, were

replaced with vinyl floors.

Buoy

A life buoy was installed at

the swimming pool.

Chalet Steps

Anti-Slip strips are being installed on the outside steps of various chalets.

Ongoing Unit Upkeep

28 units have been blocked off for maintenance. This scheduled maintenance include interior and exterior painting where needed, lounge and patio furniture repainting, soft furnishing deep cleaning and any other maintenance required.

Valentine’s Day

On Valentine's Day, each unit received a sweet surprise during check-in. The surprise gift included heart-shaped chocolates, a pen, and a Valentine's Day crossword puzzle. The day was packed with romance–themed activities like Valentine’s crafts, painting, Valentine's bingo, dancing with musical chairs for couples, crafting personalised cards, testing couples' knowledge with quizzes, and so much more!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was just as egg-citing as previous years! As guests checked-in, they were greeted with a tasty treat - a cute mason jar decorated like an Easter bunny, stuffed with chocolate and speckled eggs. The Reception was beautifully decorated with fun Easter bunny decor. And let's not forget the little ones - an Easter egg hunt was the highlight for kids, adding an extra sprinkle of fun to the Monateng festivities!

Guest Celebrations

The Resort has been nothing short of spectacular, with guests celebrating milestones such as a 60th birthday and an anniversary. Entrusting us with the task for creating unforgettable memories, we’ve made sure to go above and beyond to turn their occasion fantasies into reality! And we can do the same for you! Reach out to The Monateng Team to help you create a memorable experience tailored to your celebration needs.

Monateng is all in for the Funky Friday fever; a concept we introduced and everyone has enthusiastically embraced! Every Friday, both our Reception staff and Management join in on the fun, dressed in the chosen theme for the day, adding an extra dose of energy and excitement into the check-in experience.

Congratulations to Debbie Ludick and Christo Kloppers and a warm welcome to Markus van Lingen! Debbie has been promoted to Administrator and Front Office HOD, while Christo moved into her vacant Reception role. Markus joined the Monateng team as the new Commercial Manager. We're excited to see both team members take on their new roles and look forward to their continuous growth and success.
