Introducing Bushveld Terrace – Where Every Bite Tells a Story

Say hello to Bushveld Terrace, our newly rebranded restaurant – a fresh name for a fresh new experience!

Our talented kitchen team has crafted a revamped menu filled with bold new flavours, seasonal specials, and a touch of bushveld flair.

Whether you're popping in for a relaxed family meal, grabbing something on-the-go, or toasting to another day in paradise, Bushveld Terrace promises to delight your taste buds.

Resort Updates, Upgrades & Refurbishments

Our commitment to improving your experience at Monateng Safari Lodge remains our highest priority!

Here are some updates and upgrades that have been made over the last few months:

What’s New Around the Resort:

Poolside perfection: We’ve resurfaced the pool to improve both aesthetics and guest comfort, perfect for your next refreshing dip!

Giant draughts gets shade: We’ve added a roof over the outdoor draughts area for shaded fun!

Bounce back: A trampoline carpet has been replaced to boost safety and enjoyment.

Railed in: Behind the Bushveld Terrace Kiosk, we’ve installed custom-built steel railings for better durability and aesthetics.

Looking Ahead – Ongoing & Upcoming Renovations:

Cupboard and tile replacements will be taking place in NY02 & JA06, making your home away from home even more comfortable.

The current pathways are being upgraded to increase the aesthetic appeal. An improved surface and bump removal will also make the paths more wheelchair-friendly.

Great news for everyone!

Sustainable Decking: We’re replacing wooden deck planks with recycled plastic for improved durability and eco-friendliness. More steps towards better sustainability.

The tennis and basketball/netball courts will be repainted, ready for all the friendly competition.

Exciting New Development

Powering the future: solar plant project!

We’re lighting the way forward with a brand-new solar plant!

The development is scheduled to start in mid-November with completion scheduled for February 2026

This exciting development supports sustainability and guest comfort while reducing reliance on Eskom. It's a win for you and the planet.

Welcome to the Team

At Monateng, our people are at the heart of every unforgettable guest experience. We are delighted to introduce Eddie Kritzinger as our new Resort Manager! Eddie has been part of the Monateng family for several years and will continue to make a positive impact. We wish Eddie the very best and great success in this exciting new role.

Celebrating Every Moment

Life at Monateng is always full of celebration, connection, and community spirit.

Over the past few months, our Resort has been buzzing with energy as we commemorated special occasions like Father’s Day, Women’s Day, and most recently, a vibrant Heritage Day. 

From thoughtfully curated welcome gifts to interactive themed games and cultural entertainment, each event was carefully planned to create memorable moments for our guests.

Father’s Day

We honoured dads with marshmallow-filled mugs and fun competitions like the Beer Challenge and Balloon Toss.

Women’s Day

Guests received pamper boxes, enjoyed crafts, quizzes, and feel-good moments to celebrate the incredible women in our lives.

Heritage Day

We celebrated with local flavour – welcome gifts of pap and spoons, a Bring & Braai with traditional songs and dances, and a vibrant line-up of cultural games and activities.

Holiday Options: A Smart, Flexible Benefit for Every Shareholder

Holiday Options gives Shareholders far more than standard exchange opportunities, it offers real flexibility, convenience, and value.

• Beyond traditional exchanges, members can enjoy Bonus Weeks, which allow for spontaneous, last-minute getaways without using points. Whether it’s a quick midweek break, a weekend escape, or an extra unit for family and friends, Bonus Weeks ensure you never miss out on quality holiday time.
• Shareholders can also deposit their intervals (full weeks, midweeks, or weekends) and receive points valid for three years, making future planning easy and rewarding. As long as deposits are made at least eight weeks before occupation and levies are fully paid, points are allocated seamlessly. Even late deposits earn full points, offering additional peace of mind (late deposit fees are applicable).
• Holiday Options also streamlines the management of your ownership with two rental placement options, allowing you to earn rental income on weeks you’re unable to use. Shareholders can list full weeks, midweeks, or weekend intervals on Gomelo at their preferred rate, update pricing anytime, and withdraw the listing if it hasn’t rented yet. MyResorts offer rentals based on a daily rate - ideal for Shareholders who prefer flexible, per-night rentals. This option allows your interval to be made available as daily reservations across the MyResorts network, increasing visibility and improving the likelihood of achieving rental income.

With Bonus Weeks, extended point validity, easy online levy management, and a simplified rental system, Holiday Options ensures that Shareholders maximise the value of their ownership, through flexibility, freedom, and effortless control over every holiday opportunity.
