Games Room
In response to guest feedback about the desire for more on-site activities, a games room has been created in the former Sales Office. This new space now includes a coin-operated pool table, soccer table, and dartboard, offering guests a fun way to unwind.

Scooter Track
The space under the trees at the playground area was transformed into a fun and practical area for children while making use of an area where grass struggles to thrive.

Pipe Burst
A burst in the main water supply pipe on Pioneer Road caused a significant disruption to the water and power supply at Uvongo River Resort. Municipality workers and staff worked through the night and all services were fully restored within 48 hours.

Christmas 2024

In true Little Italy style, Christmas 2024 was a celebration to remember! Guests were welcomed with handcrafted candles in the colours of the Italian flag, nestled in beautiful wooden boxes alongside decadent Italian chocolates. It was our way of saying Buon Natale and sharing a slice of Italian joy with every family.

New Year 2025
|
|
We welcomed 2025 with flair! Guests received bespoke wooden glass holders engraved with the Uvongo logo, paired with bottles of bubbly (non-alcoholic, of course) to toast the year ahead. Kids joined the fun with bubbles of their own, making it a New Year celebration filled with smiles and sparkling memories.

Valentine’s Day

Love was in the air – and so was the scent of popcorn! This Valentine’s, we went full movie-night mode with chocolate bouquets and popcorn tickets for all guests. Whether it was a rom-com or a thriller, the night was made even sweeter with a few extra treats.

Easter 2025
|
|
This Easter, the Resort was filled with smiles and sweet surprises. Adults received adorable bunny gifts made from folded face cloths, a charming keepsake to remember their stay. The little ones were treated to a festive bunny pack that included an Easter egg, a packet of cookies, and some chips. It was a joyful celebration that brought happiness to guests of all ages.

Birthday Celebrations

One of our most touching moments this year was celebrating Selvin Naidoo’s fifth birthday. His mother went into early labour while on holiday at Uvongo five years ago, and returning to mark this milestone made it a truly meaningful celebration.

We were delighted to host 54 senior citizens from a local pensioners club. Their visit began with freshly baked muffins, chilled soft drinks, and a warm welcome song from our staff. The joy was shared on both sides as laughter and stories filled the Resort.
